Pinotage is South Africa’s signature grape variety, created in 1925 through a crossing of Pinot Noir and Cinsault and is hardly grown anywhere else in the world. Known for producing deeply colored wines with full body and bold fruit character, Pinotage can express flavors ranging from red and black berries, purple florals, spice, and subtle earthy notes.
