What is the “Tasting Outlook”?

Violet Vines guests are invited to experience our wines – and service – at our tasting room in Carlton, OR.   You can book a reservation online (Wednesday through Sunday) or just stop in if you’re in the area. 

Separate from the Carlton tasting room, we also offer an amazing wine tasting and vineyard tour experience at our estate vineyard in Sheridan, OR. 

Available by reservation only (seven days a week, weather permitting), guests are invited to drive up into the vineyard and taste an expanded menu of our current release wines, many of which are sourced from our estate vineyard in the McMinnville American Viticultural Area (AVA). 

The tasting outlook is our vineyard tasting room with a deck and adjacent patio overlooking a deep valley pointing to the Cascade Mountains to the East.  At about 550 feet in elevation and tucked between a Pinot noir Clone 115 block (which we call Elk’s Envy) and our newly planted Albariño block (which we call the Good Block named for our business partner and friend who helped acquire the property, Dahe Good from the Good Land Company), visitors rave about the view, the peaceful setting and of course, the experience.

As part of your visit to the tasting outlook, we also provide a vineyard tour and pour two of our wines sourced from the vineyard block where the wine was grown.  Guests are invited to walk the grounds and are always welcome to bring a picnic lunch.  Children and pets are welcome too.

For larger groups interested in scheduling a visit, we just completed the construction of a larger building that can comfortably host your event of up to 24 people.
